We still miss him very much. Mom still gets teary eyed when she thinks about him. We loved him very much and will never forget his silly playfulness.
When ever Mom was sick, Ernie would lay on the bed with her. It was like he new!
Poor Jake, he has often been called Ernie...In some silly way, maybe Ernie is in him.
Our lives will always be a little better for having Ernie in our lives. See you later friend, we love you.

ReplyDeleteThis is so sad. Lymphoma is a terrible disease. I have temporarily kicked it in the butt, but we know it will probably come back for me too someday, hopefully far far in the future...
ReplyDeleteIt is clear that Ernie was greatly loved. I do not think there is any better gift for a cat to receive.
