Chancy says>> This is baby Jake...taken just a couple weeks after he moved in with us. We had forgotten that he was so small.


Jake says>> This is Chancy...just laying around, looking all pretty, watching all the goings on...around here.

Babe says>> See Jake on the left side of the fireplace. He is getting ready to pounce on Chancy. Actually, I think she knows what he is going to do.

Today we have set aside in honor of Ernie's memory. One year ago today, August 14, 2007...Ernie lost his fight with lymphoma.

We still miss him very much. Mom still gets teary eyed when she thinks about him. We loved him very much and will never forget his silly playfulness.
When ever Mom was sick, Ernie would lay on the bed with her. It was like he new!

Poor Jake, he has often been called Ernie...In some silly way, maybe Ernie is in him.

Our lives will always be a little better for having Ernie in our lives. See you later friend, we love you.

Babe: Well...I do care...I consider myself on alert at this time of the year. although I am still somewhat relaxed.

His birthday was yesterday...

These are mine...G-Gma gave them to me. I love them. I have rats I play with, too. But I like to hide them and my Dad can't find them and I forget where I put them.
I think I need to stop hiding my rats!
